Teaching Political Science in an Age of Trump

Honours Political Science student Cassidy Bereskin's research project surveys the Canadian landscape.

Aug 06, 2019

Does the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States affect how professors teach political science at Canadian universities? Do they need to rethink the content of their courses? Does political polarization affect how class discussions and debates are organized? Cassidy Bereskin has been probing these and related questions this summer as part of a project supported by an Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA). She has surveyed the members of Canadian political science departments, and conducted follow-up interviews to document how practices of teaching are changing in the era of Trump. She will be sharing the results of her study at the USRA poster session this fall.

Congratulations Cassidy!
