Nick Bibby is Director-designate of the Scottish Policy Innovation and Research Exchange, which develops tools to support policymakers' use of social scientific research. With a background in political journalism, Nick has more recently held a number of roles in the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh, notably running communications for the Centre on Constitutional Change during the Scottish independence and Brexit referendums. Scotland's evolving devolution settlement has been the dominant chord in Nick's career. From being sent to cover the Scottish Parliament's Subsidiary Legislation Committee on his first day on the Scotsman newspaper through to his current role working with scholars and civil servants on some of Scotland's most intractable policy problems., he has been an avid witness to Scotland's unfolding political drama.
