Dr. Lillian Hung is the founder and head of IDEA lab (Innovation in Dementia & Aging) at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her research examines how technology and environment impact the care experiences of persons with dementia. She has expertise in patient-oriented research and knowledge translation. She is committed to facilitating connectivity between academia and practice, working collaboratively with interprofessional practitioners to find practical solutions to address pressing problems in care settings.

This talk highlights Dr. Lillian Hung’s innovative work at the UBC IDEA Lab, where older adults and students from diverse disciplines collaborate on technology and robotics research. Focused on achieving meaningful social impact, Dr. Hung’s team explores the potential of social robots and technology solutions to support health and well-being of older people and foster compassionate care.
